Service Engineer - Compressed Air & Gas Systems

Our client, a well-established engineering service provider, is seeking a Service Engineer to support the maintenance, servicing and installation of compressed air and gas generation systems across a range of industrial environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically and electrically skilled engineer to join a business offering varied work, strong support and ongoing development.

The Role

Reporting into the Engineering team, you will be responsible for:

* Service and commissioning of industrial equipment including dryers, chillers and gas generation systems

* Maintenance and repair of compressed air systems and associated equipment

* Fault finding, diagnosis and technical investigation across a range of plant

* Installation and upgrade work on customer sites

* Supporting wider engineering teams across the UK when required

* Providing clear technical feedback and updates to customers

* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company and safety standards

This is a field-based role, covering Bedford and surrounding regions.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

* Mechanical and electrical engineering experience

* Proven service / maintenance background

* Strong fault finding and problem-solving ability

* Experience working on industrial equipment

* Ability to work independently in a field-based role

* Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

* Experience with compressed air, refrigeration or gas systems
(e.g. compressors, dryers, chillers, nitrogen or hydrogen systems)

* Engineering qualification or apprenticeship

* Experience using service reporting systems or Office-based tools
