Van Driver – Sandy, Bedfordshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Sandy, Bedfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent benefits, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 05:30 and 07:00

Rates of Pay

• £12.21 per hour
• Guaranteed 8 hours per day

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Operating and driving various 3.5-tonne vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all cargo is correctly loaded and secured
• Adhering to UK traffic laws and company procedures
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Van Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category B driving licence
• Minimum 12 months’ experience driving Category B vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• Good knowledge of the UK road network
• Ability to speak and read a good level of English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving commercial vehicles
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided

• Full industry-related training and ongoing support
