Kforce has a client in search of a Technical Support in Chicago, IL. Duties:
  • Provide first level support for the users on all current software and hardware utilizing remote control software
Provide phone and occasional email support to end users for:
  • Personal computers
  • Laptops
  • Local area networks
  • File servers
  • Printer/peripherals
  • Telephones
  • Network connectivity
  • Circuits (data/voice)
  • Host/mainframe
  • Platform software (Teller Insight, IBS Insight, STAR, etc.)
  • Desktop operating systems (Windows/all versions)
  • Desktop software
  • First Midwest Intranet
  • Internet Explorer (all versions)
  • Electronic mail (internal and external with O365)
  • Miscellaneous desktop standard and non-standard software
Responsible for Providing 1st Level Phone Support:
  • Become the first point of contact for end users concerning Information Technology problem resolution
  • Maintain and log all calls made into the Service Desk and Vendor Line via LANDesk - This includes all follow-up and associated updates until the call is resolved and the end user is satisfied

Job Requirements:


  • High School diploma or GED with relevant college coursework preferred
  • Skilled at troubleshooting Windows 7 and 10
  • Basic skills with network administration (password resets, verification of rights, etc.)
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office, and Internet Explorer
  • Working knowledge of hardware configurations and setup
  • Outstanding phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
