Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Stockport, who are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Science Technician to join their science department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a science graduate to support the delivery of high-quality science education in a vibrant school environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of practical science lessons by preparing equipment, maintaining resources, and upholding strict health and safety procedures.

• Preparing apparatus and materials for practical science lessons

• Supporting teaching staff and pupils during experiments

• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and laboratories

• Monitoring inventory and placing orders for stock and supplies

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and COSHH guidelines

• Assisting with administrative duties within the science department

• A degree in a science-related subject is mandatory - only candidates with a science degree will be considered

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• A proactive, team-oriented approach

• Previous school or laboratory experience is beneficial, but not essential

• A current DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

This role is to start immediately, offering a daily pay rate of £100 - £110, depending on experience. It presents an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with a scientific background looking to gain experience in the education sector.
