Job Description:

Seeking a motivated and dedicated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our fencing projects. You will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates, managing budgets, and contributing to the overall success of our projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to develop their career in quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to prepare cost estimates and budgets for a variety of fencing projects, including sports fencing, security fencing, netting systems, sports equipment, gates, decorative fencing, automated gate systems, manufacture, and powder coating.

* General office work & admin

* Conduct site visits to gather measurements and project-specific data.

* Prepare cost estimates, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.

* Assist in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement activities, and contract negotiation.

* Monitor project expenses and progress, identifying potential cost overruns and proposing cost-saving solutions.

* Provide regular financial reports and cost analysis to senior management.

* Work with the design team to ensure accurate drawings and specifications.

* Participate in value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.

* Manage variations and change orders, ensuring accurate documentation and cost tracking.

* Assist in the preparation of final accounts and project closeout activities.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

* Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

* Knowledge of project management principles.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
