Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance provider. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs, diagnostics, and servicing for HGVs and trailers directly at customer locations across the M4 corridor. This role suits a skilled technician who enjoys autonomy, variety, and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and inspections on HGVs and trailers

Attend roadside breakdowns and provide swift, effective repair solutions

Perform diagnostics and fault finding using modern equipment and software

Prepare vehicles for MOT and complete associated safety checks

Work on brake systems, suspension, electrical components, hydraulics, and drivetrain systems

Maintain accurate service records and complete job sheets

Deliver a professional service while upholding high safety and compliance standards

Candidate Requirements

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification)

Proven experience working on HGVs and trailers (mobile or workshop-based)

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, including electrical and mechanical systems

Full UK driving licence (essential)

Ability to work independently with good time management

Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach
