Job Opportunity: Operations Manager - College LD & Autism

Location: Barry, Cardiff (Wales)
Salary: £50,000

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the operational delivery of a specialist college for individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation and play a key role in service quality, compliance, and staff leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee HR practices, admin functions, staffing structures, and day-to-day operational delivery

Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) with responsibility for safeguarding practices and staff training

Lead auditing and performance monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance and service improvement

Drive improvements across all aspects of service and ensure adherence to CIW standards

Deliver and monitor safeguarding protocols, policies, and staff compliance

Support leadership teams in developing efficient service models

Use advanced Excel tools to track, analyse, and report on key performance indicators

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in operational management, ideally in a specialist education or care setting

Current Level 3 Safeguarding qualification (essential)

Experience working under CIW regulations

Strong skills in audit management, compliance, and monitoring

Demonstrated ability to manage staffing and HR practices

Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Proficient in advanced Excel and data analysis for reporting and oversight
