Finance Assistant

Based in Welwyn Garden City this company has had a period of unprecedented growth in both size and monetary turnover. They are now looking for a Finance Assistant providing finance support to the finance manager.

Finance Assistant Role

To provide finance administration support to the Finance Department to ensure compliance to service standards, seeking assistance from other resources (staff/suppliers etc) where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

* Generate and process monthly recurring contract invoices promptly and accurately

* Prepare and issue all non-contract invoices in a timely and efficient manner

* Monitor and manage the accounts mailbox, ensuring timely responses and appropriate follow-up

* Support the administration and progression of Service Tracker statuses post-operational delivery, facilitating accurate and timely invoicing

* Coordinate the issuance and uploading of insurance and accreditation certificates to SharePoint

* Upload invoices and relevant supporting documentation to various external client portals in accordance with client requirements

* Assist in the preparation and distribution of customer statements and perform credit control tasks to ensure timely payment

* Respond promptly and professionally to invoice-related queries from clients and internal stakeholders

* Support the purchase ledger process, including handling supplier queries and maintaining accurate records

* Assist with the reconciliation of company credit card transactions, ensuring completeness and accuracy

* Provide general administrative and office support as required to aid service delivery, quality assurance, and financial operations

Key Requirements:

* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

* Strong attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Proficient in MS Office

* Knowledge of CRM & accounting software advantageous, although not essential as training will be given
