Reed Education are working with an SEN school based in Smalfield Surrey with their recruitment for an SEN teaching assistant. This role would be to support students aged 7-11 with communication and social interaction difficulties, typically associated with Autism. They are seeking a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to enhance their learning environment.

• Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to help them feel safe and enjoy their learning experience.
• Promote and encourage independence and personal development among students.
• Support the Class Teacher in the daily operations of the class.
• Adapt to the varying and changing needs of the school, including some physical intervention as needed (full training provided).
• Promote pupils’ cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being.

• GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Experience working in a special school environment is highly desirable.
• Team TEACH Training (desirable).
