Prospero Teaching is looking for a SEN English Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Tooting Bec, Southwest London.

Job Details:
· Role: SEN English Teacher
· Start Date: September 2025 (Interviews and trial lessons available immediately)
· Contract: Long-term temporary, with chance to become permanent
· Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
· Location: Tooting, Southwest London
· Pay: GBP140 - GBP260 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
· Parking: On-site parking available

About the School:
This school supports boys aged 5 to 19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is known for its caring staff and supportive approach, helping young people who have experienced trauma or have disengaged from education.

What We Are Looking For:
· A qualified English teacher with experience in SEN or SEMH settings
· Strong skills in managing classrooms and student behaviour
· Confident in planning and delivering English lessons tailored to different abilities (KS3-KS4)
· Creative and practical teaching style that engages reluctant learners
· Knowledge of trauma-informed methods to help re-engage students

Essential Requirements:
· QTS or QTLS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
· At least 1 year teaching experience with SEN/SEMH students
· Valid Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (Child & Adult Workforce)
· Two recent professional references (ideally from education)

Ideal Candidates:
· Experienced SEN or SEMH English teachers
· Mainstream English teachers passionate about inclusive education
· Teachers with experience in PRUs, Alternative Provisions, or SEMH schools
