Support Worker (Homelessness)LOCATION:    Guildford, SurreySALARY:        £24,000 – £25,000 per annumDURATION:PermanentHOURS:           37.5hrs per week (Including 1 to 2 sleep in shifts per week and 1 weekend shift per month)ROLE SUMMARY:
  • You will be working for a large national charity who provide housing and support to homeless and vulnerable adults - joining a small and friendly team of Support Workers working in their Guildford service.
  • Support and accompany residents to attend essential appointments and signpost residents to relevant services and community-based projects.
  • Actively engage clients in their support and developing and improving our services.
  • Help assess potential new residents.
  • Liaise with external agencies.
  • Develop person-centred Support Plans and Risk Management Plans based on the residents’ identified support needs to develop the skills and resources to transform their lives and enable independent living.

  ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:  
  • Experience supporting vulnerable service users.
  • A DBS certificate or willingness to apply for a new one (we would cover costs)
