Deputy Headteacher & SENCo – South Gloucestershire | Permanent

I'm working on an exciting permanent opportunity with a brilliant special needs setting in South Gloucestershire who are looking for a qualified SENCo to join their leadership team as Deputy Headteacher.

This is a fantastic chance to step into a strategic leadership role where you’ll make a genuine impact on the lives of students with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). The school is well-established, highly supportive, and committed to delivering a nurturing, inclusive environment for every learner.

• Position: Deputy Headteacher with SENCo responsibilities
• Location: South Gloucestershire
• Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Start Date: Negotiable for the right candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• NASENCo qualification
• Proven experience working with children and young people with SEN, particularly SEMH and ASD
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive and support whole-school SEND strategy
• Excellent understanding of SEND legislation, EHCPs, and inclusive teaching practice

• A senior leadership position with scope for real influence and development
