Manufacturing Operator - Night Shift (22:00-06:00, 30% Shift Allowance)
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Manufacturing Operators to join our dynamic, fast-paced production team. This role is key to ensuring manufacturing processes are executed safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instruction Documents, and blueprint specifications. You will play an important part in meeting daily production schedules, maintaining product quality, and supporting a collaborative team environment.
What You Will Do
- Follow all Manufacturing SOPs.
- Complete Production Floor paperwork, including SOPs required by the Quality System. Record details such as weight, time, and date packaged.
- Start, stop, and supervise conveyor speeds.
- Assist with equipment validation.
- Read and interpret work orders to set up materials and verify quantities according to requirements.
- Inspect materials, products, and containers at each production setup.
- Insert, pour, or fill product into containers using spouts or chutes.
- Obtain and sort product as required.
- Wrap protective material around products.
- Weigh containers and adjust quantities.
- Close, seal, and label containers or products.
- Sort bundles or filled containers.
- Pack special arrangements or product selections.
- Inspect products and container configurations during packaging setups.
- Carry out line clearance, including reconciliation and disposal of materials.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, machinery, equipment, or glassware.
- Follow ISO/cGMP Quality System Regulations with emphasis on documentation accuracy, product quality, and housekeeping.
What you will bring
- Education: Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent.
- Related experience in a lab or manufacturing environment and/or relevant training (workplace or academic).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Strong teamwork skills in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to use manufacturing systems such as QAD and AGILE to print required documents for daily production.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance guides, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Use of PPE and understanding of chemical hygiene requirements.
- Ability to work safely with no makeup/jewelry and wear safety glasses.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds infrequently and unassisted.
- Ability to stand, reach, bend, stoop, and grasp throughout shifts.
- Ability to use hand tools and equipment, including forceful gripping, pushing, and pulling.
