Our client, Bolton Council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Intergrated Front Door Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • The provision of a purposeful, professional social work duty service to children and families and partner agencies within the Integrated Front Door in accordance with statutory requirements and Departmental Policies.
  • To contribute to the planning and development of the Team’s and the Department’s Referral and Assessment Services as required and as appropriate.
  • To participate in the organisation and administration of the work of the post so that the job of providing the service gets done.
  • To provide management information to assist in the setting, implementing, and monitoring of the Department’s strategies and services
  • To contribute to the allocation of the work of the Team.
  • To participate in providing a duty service to all office visitors
  • To gather information to decide if Section 47 (Child Protection) enquiries are required or if a children and family needs assessment is needed.
  • To work directly with partner agencies and families offering advice and guidance using a range of social work knowledge and skills,
  • To contribute to ‘front door’ duty provision which involves the provision of generic advice and information to all office callers.
  • To arrange services and screen referrals which require further assessment.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
