A high-growth, forward-thinking accountancy and advisory firm is looking to appoint an experienced Client Services Manager / Accounts Manager to take ownership of a key portfolio and play a central role in the firm’s continued expansion. This is not a “steady-state” manager role — it’s suited to someone who wants influence, autonomy, and a clear route towards Senior Manager / Director.
The RoleYou’ll operate as a senior point of contact for a portfolio of established, owner-managed businesses — combining technical delivery with genuine commercial advisory. Key responsibilities:
- Owning and developing a high-value client portfolio
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients on business performance, growth and strategy
- Leading client meetings and delivering a high-quality, proactive service
- Reviewing accounts, overseeing delivery and ensuring technical excellence
- Managing workflow and driving efficiency across your portfolio
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of junior and mid-level staff
- Supporting Partners with growth initiatives and identifying new business opportunities
What They’re Looking For- ACA / ACCA qualified
- Proven experience operating at Manager level within practice
- Strong background working with owner-managed businesses
- Commercial mindset — comfortable moving beyond compliance into advisory
- Experience managing and developing a team
- Confident communicator who can build credibility quickly with clients
