Finance Manager | £55k+£5k bonus | South MCR | Hybrid | EngineeringJob Overview:Axon Moore are once again working with a Finance Director who has successfully developed talent throughout his career and is now looking for a Finance Manager to join a start-up environment as they pursue an exciting period of M&A activity. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will encompass all aspects of finance, gain exposure to M&A activity, and become the key point of contact, and Finance Business Partner with the recently acquired organisations.   • Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts for each business unit.
  • Consolidate subsidiary entities and calculate consolidations.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Lead the monthly financial close process.
  • Conduct variance analysis against budgets and provide actionable insight.
  • Maintain a strong general ledger structure.
  • Develop and oversee annual budget and rolling financial forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the operational team to identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on KPI’s, cashflow and working capital.
  • Support the CFO in strategic planning, investment decision and acquisitions.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting.
  • Manage banking relationships ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
  • Ensure effective credit control and debtor management.
Person Specification:
  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified Accountant.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity business is ideal
  • Excellent experience of development processes and controls.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines.
  • Strong problem solving.
  • Advanced IT skills.
  • Experience working in e-commerce is advantageous.
