Our Client, Trafford Council, is seeking a Children’s Team Manager to join their Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
- Lead and supervise social workers, providing oversight, guidance, and reflective supervision. Ensure statutory compliance for looked-after children (visits, reviews, health checks, PEPs).
- Monitor safeguarding and risk, making timely managerial decisions.
- Oversee care plans and permanency plans, including court work and long-term placement decisions. Quality-assure casework, recording, and assessments.
- Support placement stability, work with foster carers, and escalate concerns early.
- Work with partners (health, education, IROs, police) to coordinate support for children.
- Contribute to service improvement, performance monitoring, and audits.
- Manage resources and budgets related to placements and support packages.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
- Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working as a Qualified social worker
