Insight Exeucituve Group are working exclusively with The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Tust to appoint a Senior Decontamination Manager. This is an 8b role which puts the salary at £64,455 - £74,896.

The ideal candidate will have experience within the NHS and contractor side experience delivering decontamination services within healthcare.

Main duties:

* Provide expert advice and assistance to a wide range of staff, consultants, senior managers and Trust directors on decontamination issues and policy.

* Ensure that all aspects of decontamination management comply with, or are being developed towards, present national laws, regulations, guidance and all recognised standards.

* Experience in commercial contract management plus the ability to demonstrate a history of process management and strategic decision-making.

* Interpreting both National and International standards, plan, develop and implement a 5 - 10 year decontamination strategy for the Trust as a whole.

* Develop Standard Operating Procedures for decontamination across the wholes Trust.

* Promote good governance and develop appropriate Quality and Audit Management Systems.

* Devise a Trust wide strategy for the development of endoscopy decontamination services.

* Develop a specification for the Sterile Services contract, that is fit for purpose and offers good value (cost & quality) for the Trust.

You will need to:

* Possess professional management and/or scientific knowledge to master's degree or equivalent level of knowledge.

* Robust track record in decontamination in an acute Trust environment.

* Detailed knowledge of quality standards 93/42/EEC, ISOEN13485 & ISOEN 9001.

* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels
