JOB TYPE: Temporary
SALARY: From £15,000 to £19,500 per annum
Our client has a vacancy for an Administrator to provide administrative support to the Department Manager and the team as appropriate.This role is offered on a temporary basis for 3 to 6 months.
The main purpose of this role is to carry out general administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the department including:
oCollating and analysing data
oCreating and maintaining filing systems
oDesigning and production of documents
oUse of appropriate databases and spread sheets
•Receive and act on telephone/personal enquiries and action where appropriate
•Produce various reports as required
•To deliver a range of ICT/paper based initial assessment screening assessments
•To support the recruitment of students and the allocation process.
•Undertake examination invigilation.
•To support the setting up of student files and individual learning plans (ILPs)
•To liaise with curriculum areas to support student progression ensuring, where appropriate, individual student needs are met.
•Raise, maintain and despatch paper based/electronic student records
•Maintain information databases as appropriate.
•Procurement of resources and maintaining appropriate records.
•Be a member of agreed departmental committees and working groups.
·Good basic general education including GCSE (or) equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C or above.
·Hold an administration or customer services based qualification at level 2 or above.
·Proven experience in an administrative role.
·Proven customer service experience.
·Good IT skills with experience of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email and internet systems
·Accuracy and precision in written presentation
·Good communication skills both written and verbal
·Have thinking ability: able to plan, communicate and problem solve effectively
·Good organisational skills
