About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join an exciting, high-profile project. This role will be central to the full lifecycle of a complex engineering programme - from initial concept architecture, through detailed design, to verification and optimisation. You will be the subject matter expert in control systems, playing a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Lead full lifecycle design, implementation, and verification for closed-loop control law systems.

Develop and apply mathematical models, system identification, and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent tools.

Design and implement control laws for complex systems, integrating sensors and actuators into control loops.

Troubleshoot, optimise, and refine control systems to meet stringent performance and safety requirements.

Maintain a safety-first approach, ensuring compliance with quality standards at every stage.
Essential Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (Master's/PhD preferred).

Strong knowledge of control theory - classical and modern techniques (e.g., PID, state-space, optimal control).

Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for modelling and simulation.

In-depth understanding of sensor technologies and actuator systems.

Proven track record in problem-solving, optimisation, and system integration.
