Primary Teaching Assistant Job Description

Provide Education & Teachers UK are looking for enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to join our partnered schools across the Swadlincote (DE11) area on a flexible supply basis. This is a great opportunity if you have experience working in primary settings and want to support pupils in achieving their full potential.

You will work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide one-to-one and small-group support, and help maintain a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for anyone considering a future career in teaching.

Role Responsibilities

Support the class teacher with day-to-day lesson delivery

Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions

Support classroom management and encourage positive behaviour

*

Assist with preparing resources and classroom organisation

*

Help track pupil progress and contribute to assessments

Requirements

Previous experience supporting pupils in a primary school

Good literacy and numeracy skills

*

Confident communication and strong teamwork abilities

*

Proactive, reliable, and professional approach

*

Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable)
