We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Northallerton. This forward-thinking company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality bespoke joinery solutions and is now looking to expand its team with the addition of a Joinery Design Technician on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of both design and manufacturing processes, who is keen to play a key role in bringing bespoke projects from concept through to production.
Working closely with the workshop team, you will be responsible for translating designs into accurate, production-ready outputs. This is a hands-on role where collaboration and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing detailed manufacturing drawings
- Creating CNC-ready files for production
- Interpreting client briefs, drawings, and specifications into workable designs
- Liaising closely with the workshop team to ensure designs are practical and achievable
- Supporting problem-solving during the production process and adapting designs where required
- Ensuring all drawings and files meet manufacturing and quality standards
- Assisting with material specifications and cutting lists
- Updating and maintaining design files and project documentation
- Supporting continuous improvement within design and manufacturing processes
- Assisting with project timelines to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery
About You:
- Experience using Cabinet Vision software is highly desirable, but not essential for the right candidate
- Strong understanding of joinery design and manufacturing processes
- Ability to produce accurate technical drawings
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- A proactive and detail-focused mindset
