Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in commercial contracting? My client is a Surrey-based company seeking a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join there team. With a minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial contracting and comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the role within a main contractor setting, you could be the perfect fit for this position.

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Surrey

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying duties across commercial sectors.

* Manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts throughout project lifecycles.

* Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments to ensure project profitability.

* Prepare and negotiate contracts, variations, and final accounts.

* Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to monitor progress and resolve commercial issues.

* Provide expert advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering.

* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.

* Mentor and support junior members of the quantity surveying team.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

* Minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial contracting, preferably within a main contractor environment.

* Fully conversant with all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost management, procurement, and contract administration.

* Strong negotiation and communication skills.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

* Thorough understanding of relevant construction contracts and legislation.

* MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.

Salary: £45,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
