Salary: £45000 - £55000/annum car allowance + travel + package

Health & Safety Advisor (Construction / Rail / Civils) - Site based- £45-£55k + Car / Travel Allowance + Benefits

We are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor for a global design and construction company, working on one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe.

As a member of the H&S team you will be responsible for overseeing your area of the project reporting directly into the HSW Manager. You will also provide competent health and safety advice and support, developing a close working relationship with the projects client, supply chain and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication between all parties.

This is a hands-on role as part of the delivery team, you will be responsible for maintaining and seeking continuous improvement in the strategies, policies, and procedures in relation to current industry best practice and minimum statutory requirements.

Additional responsibilities include:

* Participate in Health, Safety & Environment audits.

* Monitor and ensure the Site Inspections

* Undertake a weekly HSW inspections, report key findings to the HSW Manager and Site Team.

* Advise the HSW Manager of any onsite incidents

* H&S KPI data management, analysis, and reporting to the HSW Manager on a monthly basis.

* Identifying trends where appropriate and leading or assisting in the development of associated action plans.

* Review subcontractor risk assessments and method statements / Task Briefings

* Review Project Plans developed for your allocated project.

* Undertake Site Inductions where necessary

* Provide advise on-site Environmental and Sustainability safety.

* Assist the HSW Manager in the development of Visual Standards.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

* NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (Minimum)

* Previous experience working within a construction or Civils environment

* Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

* Good influencing and persuasive skills with an ability to build effective working relationships with people at all levels.

* Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and industry best practice
