Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that align with the Year 1 curriculum, fostering both academic success and emotional development.

Regularly assess pupils' progress, using data to inform planning and provide meaningful feedback to both students and parents.

Create an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and respectful behaviour.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the year group and school leadership to maintain a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.

Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing clear communication and engaging in the shared responsibility of supporting children's development.

Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that enhance the community spirit and enrich the pupil experience.

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.

A deep understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly the needs and developmental stages of Year 1 children.

Proven ability to differentiate learning activities and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and collaborative approach to teamwork.

Passionate about creating an inclusive, engaging, and respectful learning environment.

A commitment to personal and professional development, with a reflective approach to practice and growth.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and balance teaching responsibilities.
