Quality Engineer - Newton Aycliffe

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation in Newton Aycliffe.

This is a key role responsible for maintaining quality standards, supporting new product introduction, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001

* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including:

* Capability studies

* Control Plans & PFMEA

* SAR controls

* Product confirmation (PT)

* Monitor and report on KPIs, including trend analysis and performance reviews

* Conduct and support internal and external audits

* Lead and support continuous improvement projects

* Raise and manage quality alerts

* Lead monthly quality meetings and contribute to reporting

* Deliver QMS training and manage document control

* Support product trials and validation activities

* Act as a key point of contact for customers and suppliers

* Oversee the quality team, including appraisals and performance management

Requirements

* Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within manufacturing

* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001

* Experience with NPI processes and quality tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.)

* Strong problem-solving ability and experience with root cause analysis
