Job Title Renewables Heating Engineer

Reports to Customer Service Manager

Overall Purpose A Renewables Heating Engineer plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance and servicing of renewable heating systems. These systems typically include heat pumps and solar thermal systems designed to reduce carbon emissions and increase energy efficiency. The primary objective of a Renewables Heating Engineer is to harness clean and sustainable energy sources to provide heating and hot water to residential, commercial and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities

Installation of Renewable Heating Systems

Install, configure, commission and handover of renewable heating systems according to site drawings, RAMS, industry standards and best practices

Maintenance

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to ensure the efficient operation of renewable heating systems

Customer Support

Provide excellent customer service, address client inquiries, and offer guidance on system operation, maintenance and energy conservation

Regulatory Compliance

Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, safety standards (including the wearing of PPE) and renewable energy incentives, ensuring all installations are compliant

Documentation

Maintain accurate records of all installation, maintenance and inspection activities, prepare reports and feedback to customer services, as needed

Experience and Skills required

Proven experience in construction and building projects

Ability to read plans and drawings

*

Certification as a Heating Engineer or relevant industry certification

*

Experience in installing and maintaining renewable heating systems

*

Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills

*

Excellent communication and customer service skills

*

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

*

Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to safety on the job

*

A valid, clean driver's license and the ability to travel to client sites
