Key Responsibilities:  End-to-End Estimating: Interpret sketches, notes, and partial designs to create cost estimates and competitive tenders for projects ranging up to £4m.  Quantity Take-oƯs & Pricing: Prepare material and labour breakdowns, bills of quantities, and pricing schedules for a variety of trades involved in interiors, fit-outs, and refurbishments.  Tender Management: Manage the entire estimating process, from initial inquiry through to tender submission, ensuring all deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.  Supplier & Subcontractor Engagement: Identify, negotiate, and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that we obtain the best possible value while maintaining our quality standards.  Client Interaction: Communicate with clients professionally and promptly to clarify requirements, handle queries, and build lasting relationships.  Lead Generation: Monitor tender portals/websites and proactively seek opportunities that align with our expertise.  Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with our project teams and senior management to refine our approach, share insights, and ensure that our estimating function supports both operational eƯiciency and strategic growth. Requirements:  Proven experience in estimating within the fit-out, refurbishment, or interiors sector.  Ability to interpret sketches, notes, and partial designs, and develop costings without needing full specification detail.  Strong IT and Excel skills, with the ability to present pricing and breakdowns clearly.  Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills—comfortable operating in a small, fastpaced environment.  Self-motivated, pragmatic, and solutions-focused, willing to adapt and innovate.  Full UK driving license and the ability to commute to our Southampton oƯice daily
