Avionics Technician

Volantes Technical Recruitment are looking for both entry level and mid level Avionics Technicians to join our fast growing client.

Function:

To carry out repairs on avionic components to the required technical and regulatory standards in a timely and efficient manner. The role includes responsibility for signing off one's own work and planning daily tasks to achieve the best commercial outcomes while ensuring high-quality service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform repairs on avionic components in accordance with technical documentation and company procedures.

* Accurately update the company maintenance tracking system throughout the repair process to reflect progress, identify delays, and ensure accurate delivery forecasting.

* Aim to meet or exceed agreed delivery dates for all repairs.

* Review and maintain capability files and software records for components being serviced, especially during non-productive time.

* Contribute to departmental meetings by providing constructive feedback and suggesting process improvements.

* Report to and liaise with the Avionics Inspector / Team Leader.

* Collaborate with the Avionics team to resolve issues and progress challenging repair tasks.

* Maintain high service levels and ensure on-time delivery for all customer requirements.

* Effectively manage and utilise available test equipment to maximise output.

* Liaise with the Commercial Team when required to support technical and delivery matters.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in avionics engineering or component-level repair.

* Strong organisational and time management skills.

* High attention to detail and accuracy in repair and documentation.

* Effective communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written.

* Ability to multi-task, prioritise work, and meet tight deadlines.

* Flexibility with working hours, when required to meet operational needs.

* Confident working both independently and within a team.

* Awareness of the commercial impact of your role and a focus on cost-effective repairs
