Would you be open to working in a specialist SEMH school setting?

If you answered yes to the above, this could be the perfect Behaviour Support Mentor role for you!

The Role - Behaviour Support Mentor

We are looking for a committed and proactive Behaviour Support Mentor to join a welcoming, all-through SEMH school for boys in Wandsworth. This role will involve supporting students aged 5-19 with a range of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom display challenging behaviour and require structured, therapeutic support.

As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you'll play a vital role in helping students regulate their emotions, stay engaged in their learning, and develop positive coping strategies. You'll work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team to create a consistent, safe, and supportive environment throughout the school day.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, ADHD, autism, or other additional needs, and will be confident in de-escalating situations using positive behaviour strategies.

The School - SEMH All-Through School

This specialist SEMH school, based in the heart of Wandsworth, caters exclusively to boys aged 5-19 with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. The school supports around 120 pupils and was rated 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted in September 2022.

The team is supportive, passionate, and committed to delivering tailored, inclusive education that helps each student reach their full potential. The school offers excellent training and development opportunities, and is easily accessible by public transport, with a short walk from the tube, regular bus services, and on-site staff parking available.
