An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager to join a large, complex organisation based in London. This role plays a key part in embedding sustainable procurement practice across purchasing activity and supporting organisational objectives relating to environmental impact, responsible sourcing, and supplier performance.

You will work closely with procurement, sustainability, finance, and operational teams to ensure sustainability principles are integrated into procurement processes, supplier engagement, and decision-making. The role combines strategic development with hands-on delivery, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of sustainable procurement approaches across goods, services, and capital spend
  • Promote and embed sustainability and responsible sourcing requirements within procurement and contract management activities
  • Support the use of supplier engagement tools to improve sustainability performance and data quality across the supply chain
  • Collect, analyse, and assess supplier sustainability and emissions data using recognised methodologies and frameworks
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for reducing environmental impact and improving sustainability outcomes through procurement
  • Provide advice and guidance to procurement teams and contract managers on sustainability requirements throughout the procurement lifecycle
  • Support tender processes by advising on sustainability criteria, evaluation, and supplier commitments
  • Champion the inclusion of sustainability-related KPIs within contracts and monitor supplier delivery post-award
  • Ensure procurement activity aligns with internal policies, governance requirements, and applicable procurement regulations
  • Maintain robust audit trails and produce reports, dashboards, and summaries to support internal reporting and decision-making
  • Keep up to date with best practice, policy developments, and emerging trends relating to sustainable and ethical procurement
  • Work collaboratively across functions to embed sustainability into day-to-day procurement activity
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Proven experience working in procurement, supply chain, or sustainability-focused roles
  • Good understanding of sustainable procurement principles and responsible sourcing practices
  • Experience working with supplier sustainability data, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Familiarity with regulated or public-sector procurement environments is desirable
  • Confident engaging and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels, including suppliers
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings clearly
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, solution-focused, and comfortable working independently
  • Collaborative team player with a positive and professional approach
  • Committed to continuous improvement and learning

Salary: £50,160 FTE, actual salary £30,096 per annum
