About the Role
Prospero Teaching are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable English Teacher to join our dedicated team at [Insert School Name], a specialist SEN provision supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or early-career teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and making a genuine difference in the lives of students who require a more personalised approach to learning. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, many of whom have EHCPs and require additional support to access the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess creative and accessible English lessons tailored to individual student needs
Develop and adapt resources to meet a range of learning styles and ability levels
Contribute to the development of student IEPs and EHCP targets
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using trauma-informed and positive behaviour strategies
Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and the SENCO to ensure holistic support
Track student progress and maintain accurate records in line with school policies
Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment opportunities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
QTS or QTLS (essential)
Experience teaching English, ideally in a SEN, PRU, or alternative provision setting
A deep understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive practice
A strong classroom management skills and the ability to build trust with students
A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
Familiarity with Functional Skills, Entry Level or GCSE English (desirable)
A commitment to safeguarding, equality and the welfare of all students
