I am delighted to bring to market a very exciting, newly created Head of Commercial Finance opportunity for a highly successful, dynamic PE backed Tech SME near Leeds! Following their recent investment, this business is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Commercial Finance to join the small finance team in a standalone role reporting to the Finance Director.You will play a critical role in driving business performance through data-driven insight and strategic financial planning, both to internal departments and to the board of directors and shareholders.This is a high-impact, visible role with a focus on business partnering, financial forecasting, and commercial analysis. You will lead financial support for the business, as well as providing insight and challenge across all departments and stakeholders. To be successful in this role you will need to be comfortable working at pace, building and evolving models and dashboards, and communicating clearly and persuasively with senior stakeholders.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, forward thinking business and wants to make a tangible impact through smart, strategic finance.Reporting to the Finance Director, the key duties will include:

• Ownership of the integrated P&L, cashflow, and balance sheet forecast model, ensuring it reflects business realities and drives decision-making.
• Producing regular outturn projections, scenario analysis, and risk/opportunity assessments.
• Provide monthly partnering, insights & trend analysis to key departments
• Delivering high-quality financial insight to inform strategic decisions and identify growth and efficiency opportunities
• Developing and maintaining dashboards that provide clear visibility of financial and non-financial KPIs to the exec and board

The successful candidate will:

• Be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Have the ability to build complex financial forecasting models and have experience of integrated P&L, cashflow and balance sheets.
• Be highly proficient in Excel, with experience building and maintaining complex financial models.
• Have excellent analytical and data interpretation skills, and be ble to identify patterns, spot opportunities, and communicate insight clearly.
