Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work mornings only at a supportive primary school in the Coventry area. This role involves providing targeted support to a child with autism, helping them settle into their day and engage positively with learning activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with autism during morning sessions

Support classroom routines, transitions, and learning activities

*

Foster a calm, structured environment that encourages the pupil's development

*

Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans

*

Build trust and confidence with the pupil, promoting positive social and emotional development

Required Experience

*

Classroom experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism

*

Strong communication and adaptability skills

*

Patience, empathy, and the ability to work flexibly within a team
