Our client is a large local givernment organisation and looking for an Asset Manager to join their team
This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate
You will
- To lead development of the Council’s capital project and asset management business cases, options appraisals and feasibility, using technical expertise, to unlock development/remodelling/refurbishment opportunities, improve utilisation efficiencies across the portfolio, ensure that the right services are in the right buildings in the right location, and release potential disposal opportunities, whilst maintaining the quality of services provided from the buildings.
- To provide technical advice and expertise on complex property issues, arising from projects to ensure informed decisions are made on the management of and investment in the Council’s property assets using the principles established in the asset strategy.
- To ensure there are fair, transparent and consistent processes and guidance in place for the Council for undertaking and assessing options appraisals, feasibility (including use of Net Present Value for cost/benefit analysis) and business cases and value for money on any proposals or projects that involve property ensuring compliance, rigour, due diligence and best practice.
- To lead projects teams, liaising with and co-ordinating the involvement of all relevant services across the Council to identify and communicate service capital and asset requirements to ensure capital projects are consistent with Council strategies and projects, and fit service requirements
- To be responsible for developing and facilitating effective collaborative working relationships, establishing clear roles and responsibilities with all parties involved in the development of these projects, e.g. Sponsors, Politicians, Council Departments and external agencies, in order to deliver
