SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

Location: Northampton
Contract Type: Full time, Temp to Perm opportunities available.
Salary: £90-£100 per day, dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2025

About Us
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support pupils with Special Educational Needs withing a mainstream setting.

The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
-Work closely with classroom teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional challenges).
-Provide one-to-one and small group support to help children access the curriculum and reach individual targets.
-Support the development of social and communication skills in a caring and structured way.
-Monitor pupil progress and contribute to regular reviews and support plans.
-Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting (desirable but not essential).
-A patient, empathetic and flexible approach to supporting learning and behaviour.
-Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individual pupils.
-A relevant TA qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) or equivalent experience.
