Our client is a well-established company specialising in general haulage, delivering services across the UK. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver seeking flexible, ad hoc work, with shifts available to suit business demands. The HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver role offers ongoing opportunities within a professional, service-focused environment.
The Role:
- HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver position
- Typically 2-3 nights out per week (depending on the job)
- General haulage duties as a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver
- Start times usually between 05:00am and 06:00am
- Responsibilities include opening/closing curtains and ensuring loads are secure
- Delivering excellent customer service while working as a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, representing both the client and The Best Connection
The Candidate:
- Minimum of 2 years' commercial experience as a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver
- Must be over 23 years old (for insurance purposes)
- Valid Cat C+E licence, CPC, and digital tachograph card
- Professional, reliable, and well-presented
- Honest with a strong work ethic
- Flexible and able to meet varying customer requirements
- Positive and customer-focused attitude, essential for any HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver
Hours of Work:
- Ad hoc shifts available based on business needs
- Early starts between 05:00am and 06:00am
- Tramping role with 2-3 nights out per week (job dependent)
Pay Rates:
- £15.00 per hour
- £25 per night out allowance
