Income Recovery & Enforcement Officer We're recruiting an Income Recovery & Enforcement Officer to join a large, values-led housing association that provides affordable homes to thousands of residents across London and the South East. The organisation is committed to delivering excellent customer service, supporting tenancy sustainment, and reinvesting in communities to create long-term social impact.

The Role This is a key position within the Income team, focused on managing a portfolio of rent accounts and reducing arrears in a fair, consistent, and customer-focused way. You'll take ownership of cases across the full arrears lifecycle - from early intervention through to legal enforcement - ensuring action is taken in line with policy and current legislation.

You'll work closely with housing colleagues, legal partners, local authorities, and support agencies to help residents maximise their income, access welfare benefits, and sustain their tenancies wherever possible. Where necessary, you'll prepare legal documentation, manage court processes, and represent the organisation in possession and enforcement proceedings.

This role requires confidence, sound judgement, and the ability to balance performance targets with a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable residents.

About You
Experience managing rent arrears within social housing

Knowledge of the full arrears lifecycle and legal processes up to eviction

Understanding of Welfare Benefits, including Universal Credit

Strong negotiation and influencing skills

Ability to manage a demanding caseload independently

Excellent record-keeping and IT skills
