1:1 Teaching Assistant Needed - EYFS | Blackburn | ASD Support & Personal Care 

Are you a compassionate and reliable Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?

A lovely primary school in the Blackburn area is looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role includes providing personal care and supporting the child's learning and development on a daily basis.

Role Overview:

Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - EYFS

Location: Blackburn

Start Date: September

Contract: Full-time, ongoing

Pay: Competitive daily rate (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised support to a child with ASD

Assist with personal care needs (toileting, hygiene)

Support the child's social, emotional, and academic development

Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SEN team

Promote inclusion and a positive learning experience

Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience supporting children with additional needs, ideally ASD

Be confident providing personal care

Show empathy, patience, and consistency

Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential)

Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
