The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant

In this role, you will provide 1:1 support to students aged 11-19 who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Your responsibilities will include assisting with communication, personal care, and engaging students in tailored learning activities. Experience in supporting students with complex needs is essential to effectively contribute to their development and well-being.

The Secondary SEN School is ages (11-19) foundation special school located in the Borough of Lambeth. The SEN school caters to students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment that celebrates each student's unique abilities and achievements. The school is committed to a pupil-centred approach, focusing on preventing the causes of negative behaviour and promoting emotional self-regulation through strategies like the Zones of Regulation. The school also offers therapeutic support, including Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy, to enhance students' learning experiences.
