Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, rotating 07:00-16:00 / 12:00 - 8:00
Friday rotating 07:00-16:00 / 10:00-18:00

About the Opportunity
A well-established and rapidly growing UK-based manufacturer in the food and beverage sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their operations team in Telford. This is a key position offering long-term career potential within a supportive and forward-thinking business.

Role Overview
This is a standalone engineering role, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing machinery and electrical systems. You will report to the Head of Engineering and work closely with production teams to maintain equipment reliability, respond to breakdowns, and implement planned preventative maintenance routines.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform electrical diagnostics and maintenance on production machinery and systems

* Safely install and maintain control panels and associated electrical components

* Deliver routine and emergency maintenance in line with business needs

* Record maintenance activities and assist in spare parts management

* Lead and supervise external contractors on site, ensuring all safety and compliance protocols are followed

* Support the development of process improvements and engineering initiatives

* Carry out general building and site maintenance when required

* Provide occasional support at a nearby secondary production site

Essential Skills & Experience

* Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or ONC Level 3)

* Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing or industrial environments

* Strong technical understanding of fault diagnosis and control systems

* Knowledge of Health & Safety and food production regulations

* Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and communication skills

* Full UK Driving Licence (travel between sites may be required)

Desirable

* Prior experience in the food production or FMCG sector

* Understanding of BRC standards, project work, and continuous improvement initiatives
