What You'll Be Doing:

Working in mainstream secondary schools (ages 11-16), you'll take on varied and rewarding roles such as:

Cover Supervisor - leading lessons using pre-set materials and managing classroom behaviour.
Teaching Assistant - supporting learning one-on-one or in small groups.
Mentor - inspiring and guiding students as they progress.
You'll gain a well-rounded view of school life while being fully supported by both Cover People and our partner schools.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a productive learning environment.
Assist in delivering engaging, interactive lessons.
Support teachers with planning and classroom organisation.
Encourage student engagement and motivation.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Who We're Looking For:

We welcome enthusiastic individuals who are:

Recent graduates (BSc, MSc, PhD, or equivalent)
Passionate about education and working with young people
Confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills
Comfortable managing classroom behaviour
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn
Previous school experience isn't essential, but any experience working with children or young people is highly beneficial.

Requirements:

A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply via Cover People)
Availability for full (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm - flexible)
