Business Analyst (Housing) **
A Local Authority in the Bristol area are actively seeking a Business Analyst to work within their (Housing) Portfolios, Programmes and Projects Service Team.
Agency Contract | Location: Bristol, BS1 | Rate: £350 - £450 per day | Remote Working.
The Portfolios, Programmes and Projects Service is responsible for coordinating, resourcing, managing, and delivering Transformation, Change and Capital work spanning all areas of the Councils activity.
They are looking for capable and experienced Business Analyst to join the team delivering a Housing IT & transformation Programme. This Programme is replacing 5 end of life systems with the NEC platform. The work is in delivery, and need an additional Business Analyst to help complete the implementation of this work.
During assignments you will be expected to:
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Subject Matter Experts from the service areas concerned, to determine and execute a suitable approach to achieving Project goals.
- Identify and undertake all necessary Business Analysis tasks including gaining a solid understanding of current processes and pain points, developing 'to be' processes, eliciting requirements and carrying out user needs analysis.
- Carry out research as to how comparable authorities, companies and suppliers deliver relevant services.
- Shape and evaluate options to support Business Case development.
- Document and communicate your findings and ideas to the project team, service, and other stakeholders.
- Work on your own initiative as part of a team - maximising delivery and associated benefits.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a range of skills of expertise including:
- Previous experience of working with Housing Management Systems, specifically the delivery of these. This is a Must Have and we will not consider applications without this experience, which also must be recent.
- Previous experience of working on complex projects with local government and/or social housing organisations.
- System design & redesign experience.
- Requirements elicitation and development experience.
- System testing experience.
- Experience of developing new and existing processes, specifically in a local authority context.
- The drive to proactively and continuously problem-solve and work creatively to maximise the effectiveness of the Services we deliver.
- The ability to contribute to and thrive in a collaborative, evolving work environment.
- Our expectation is that you will have adapted your BA practice to working remotely via Teams.
