Hours: 37 hours per week

Are you a dedicated leader with a passion for student welfare and safeguarding?

Smart Education is looking for an experienced and proactive Safeguarding and Pastoral Leader within a PRU setting to take the lead on all aspects of safeguarding, student wellbeing, attendance, and pastoral support. This is a senior leadership position with strategic responsibility for safeguarding policy and practice, behaviour, and attendance across the school. 

As the Lead Designated Safeguarding Person, you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing our inclusive and supportive school ethos. You will lead safeguarding staff, drive effective attendance strategies, and contribute to staff CPD to ensure our team is equipped to meet the needs of all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead on all safeguarding and child protection matters
Oversee pastoral and wellbeing support across the school
Manage attendance and behaviour strategies
Support and develop staff training and CPD in safeguarding practices
Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and high expectations 

What We're Looking For:

Proven leadership experience in safeguarding or pastoral care within an educational setting
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice
Excellent communication, team leadership, and problem-solving skills
A commitment to improving the lives of young people
