Are you an experienced leader with a passion for delivering exceptional learning experiences? We’re looking for a Curriculum and Performance Manager to join a Technical & Trades team, driving high-quality curriculum delivery and supporting the professional development of Learning Coaches across multiple sites.

About the Role

As the Curriculum and Performance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of curriculum delivery. This includes leading Learning Coaches, driving quality improvement, designing engaging programmes, and ensuring an excellent learner journey from induction through to achievement.

You'll play a key role in learner retention, curriculum innovation, compliance, and performance management, working closely with internal teams, Awarding Organisations, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and performance-manage Learning Coaches
  • Oversee curriculum design, schemes of work, and learning resources
  • Ensure effective initial assessment, CIAG, and induction processes
  • Monitor learner retention and implement supportive interventions
  • Coordinate assessments, exams, and EPA activity
  • Conduct regular work scrutiny and quality checks
  • Embed English, maths, ICT/digital skills, Prevent, EDI, and safeguarding across delivery
  • Plan and timetable off-the-job/classroom learning
  • Manage EQA visits and liaise with Awarding Organisations
  • Produce annual Self-Assessment Reports and Quality Improvement Plans
  • Report curriculum quality updates to SLT
  • Support recruitment and workforce planning for delivery teams
  • Ensure compliance with funding rules and organisational financial regulations

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Leadership/Management/Team Leading qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Maths and English at Level 2 (or willingness to achieve)
  • Proven experience designing and delivering high-quality learning programmes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally

Desirable

  • PGCE or teaching qualification
  • Assessor Award
  • Level 3 vocational experience in a relevant curriculum area
  • Experience managing multisite or national learning programmes
  • Understanding of quality assurance systems and the Education Inspection Framework
  • Strong IT skills
