A well-resourced and forward-looking secondary school in Bournemouth is looking to appoint a Design and Technology Teacher for September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and innovative DT specialist to inspire the next generation of designers and problem-solvers.

The Role

You'll be teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, contributing to a curriculum that covers product design, systems & control, engineering, and food technology (based on your area of expertise). The role also involves supporting the use of CAD/CAM technologies and promoting sustainability and innovation in design.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver dynamic, skills-based DT lessons

Encourage creativity and resilience through hands-on making and prototyping

Use industry-standard tools, software, and equipment

*

Run extracurricular STEM and DT clubs or competitions

Who We're Looking For

*

QTS and a degree in Design, Engineering, Product Design, or a related subject

*

Strong practical and technical ability in a range of materials and processes

*

Experience of working with KS4 exam boards desirable

*

Excellent organisational and communication skills
