Energy Contract Manager

Salary: £29-33K (dependent on experience)

Hours: 8am - 5pm

Location: Near Bishop's Stortford (office based). Due to location, own transport is required

About the role

The Energy Contract Manager is responsible for supporting the efficient and accurate delivery of procurement activities across the company's client portfolio.

The role supports the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including data analysis, tender preparation, supplier engagement, contract administration, and renewal coordination.

Responsible for:

* Procurement Operations

* Support the full procurement lifecycle for electricity, gas and associated services across the client portfolio.

* Analyse consumption and contract data to support tender preparation and commercial decision-making.

* Prepare and issue tender documentation in accordance with agreed procurement strategies.

* Obtain, review and compare supplier quotations and contract terms.

* Maintain accurate records of procurement activity, supplier communications, and decision trails.

* Coordinate contract execution and ensure all contractual documentation is complete and correctly stored.

* Proactively manage contract end dates and renewal schedules, ensuring timely re-tendering and continuity of supply.

* Supplier Management & Queries

* Act as primary operational liaison with energy suppliers for all procurement-related matters.

* Resolve supplier queries, invoicing issues and contract discrepancies.

* Monitor supplier performance against contractual commitments.

* Support escalation and resolution of complex procurement issues in collaboration with CAMs and management.

Requirements:

* Previous office based administrative or operational role

* Experience working with structured processes and deadlines

* Experience managing data, records and documentation

* Desirable experience within energy, utilities, energy procurement, heat networks

* Understanding of energy procurement and utilities markets
