Education Personnel is working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the DE23 area of Derby that has recently placed a strong focus on developing pupil leadership and giving children more ownership of their learning. Through small but meaningful changes to its day-to-day routines, the school has created a culture where pupils take pride in their responsibilities and staff feel supported in trying new ideas that build independence and curiosity.

We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher who can contribute to this positive ethos and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge Key Stage 2 learners.

Key Responsibilities:

* Teach engaging, well-structured lessons across the KS2 curriculum

* Create a supportive, well-organised classroom environment that encourages independence

* Use assessment effectively to track progress and plan next steps

* Differentiate teaching to meet a broad range of abilities, including SEND and EAL

* Establish clear, consistent routines and promote positive behaviour for learning

* Work collaboratively with colleagues and take part in shared planning and curriculum development

* Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support children's progress

* Participate fully in wider school life, including enrichment activities and whole-school initiatives

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Experience teaching within KS2 (ECTs with strong placements considered)

* Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks

* Ability to deliver engaging, purposeful lessons that support progress for all pupils

* Effective behaviour management rooted in positive relationships

* Confidence in supporting pupils with diverse learning needs

* Strong organisation, communication, and teamwork skills

* A reflective, proactive approach to professional development
