Nursery Practitioner | £26,000 - £29,000 depending on experience | 40 hours per week

 

Our client, a vibrant and inclusive nursery setting, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join their enthusiastic early years team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support and nurture young children during their vital developmental stages in a welcoming, values-led environment.

If you are a qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator who is passionate about creating safe, engaging, and stimulating learning spaces, this could be your ideal next step.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
  • Solid knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable manner.
  • Experience working in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting.
  • Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • All applicants will be required to undergo enhanced DBS checks and provide suitable references.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver age-appropriate, creative, and engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Support children’s holistic development, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
  • Build nurturing relationships with children, ensuring each child feels safe, valued, and supported.
  • Observe, track, and document children’s progress, sharing insights with parents and carers.
  • Collaborate with fellow practitioners to plan and evaluate learning experiences.
  • Promote inclusive practices and model respect and kindness in all interactions.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and hygienic environment in line with health and safeguarding policies.
  • Maintain high standards of care, and actively contribute to safeguarding procedures.
  • Encourage healthy eating and promote good hygiene routines.
  • Support apprentices and trainees as a positive role model and mentor within the team.
