Teaching Assistant
Do you hold a Level 3 CACHE/NVQ certificate in Children's Learning and Development or equivalent? Are you able to work well independently and as part of a team to support primary pupils?
An amazing opportunity has arisen for an experienced Teaching Assistant in an Ofsted “Good” primary school located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
The school is a renowned establishment and currently provides excellent education across the EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Pupils require a range of support from mainly academic support, to special needs. The post requires a Teaching Assistant who has the flexibility to promote learning academically and the skill to support key pupils with specific needs.
Applicants must possess an NVQ/CACHE Level 3 qualification or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 months experience working with children within a school setting as a Teaching Assistant. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.
The role will include:
- Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
- 1:1 work with students who require additional support
- Leading group work as a Teaching Assistant
- Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
